With sustainability a core focus, Utico is on the transition curve, scaling up investments and operations in the renewables segment spanning waste heat recovery, brine recycling, wind, tidal and solar energy projects.  The renewables portfolio is crucial to Utico’s business transformation into a green entity with clean energy leveraged to run operations across power stations and pumping stations.  Utico has been taking pioneering steps to enhance its renewables portfolio to 100 MW.  The portfolio also includes a waste heat recovery joint venture with Wartsila that captures and converts exhaust gas from its power plant to generate green electricity. The project removes some 25,000 tonnes of CO2 from environment annually.
